Frontera de Cristo. Eighteen Shandon members traveled to Frontera de Cristo, a Presbyterian border ministry, Jan. 4-9 to learn more about the immigration crisis.

Molly Spangler installation. Rev. Molly Spangler was installed as Designated Associate Pastor for Children, Youth and Families in a special service Sunday, Jan. 19. Following the service, a reception was held to greet Molly and celebrate this moment in our shared ministry.

Christmas Eve. Christmas Eve Children’s Tableau and 8 p.m. worship service.

Christmas cantata. The Chancel Choir presented Vivaldi’s Gloria at the worship service on Dec. 15. This beautiful work has been beloved by audiences and congregations since its composition in the early 1700s. The performance featured soloists from the Chancel Choir and was accompanied by organ and string quartet.

Advent fellowship. Shandon members celebrate the season with friends and church family at the Advent Festival, Advent Bonfire, Carol Sing, youth Christmas party and decorating the tree at Presbyterian Community.

Festival of Creches. On Sunday, Dec. 8, a Festival of Creches displayed the collections of Bonnie Smith and Robert and Alicia Walker.

Treats on the Street. Halloween fun and games at Shandon Presbyterian.

Rise Against Hunger. On World Communion Sunday, Oct. 6, Shandon volunteers packed 20,088 meals for Rise Against Hunger. Rise Against Hunger provides nutritious dehydrated meals for distribution in developing countries.

Harvest Hope Food Drive. Thank you for your contributions to the community food drive. Along with our Shandon neighbors, we collected 536 pounds of staple foods and $1,405 for Harvest Hope.
