Coronavirus schedule updates

Frequently Asked Questions

Shandon's current schedule information

Shandon’s pastors and elders continue to monitor best practices of congregations during this time of “social distancing” for mitigating the spread of coronavirus. We have heard from many of you who miss our regular gatherings for worship, discipleship and fellowship. We are all anxious to celebrate our communal faith together, but we are also committed to the physical health and safety of our church family and all of our neighbors.

At this time, we aren’t yet sure when it will be wise to gather together on Sunday mornings again. Your staff and Session have determined we will not reopen the building for church purposes until at least Aug. 1, unless significant strides toward a vaccine or other effective treatment are made.

It is always incumbent upon us to do what we can to ensure the health of our neighbor, but especially in a time like this. We are trying to do our part to keep the virus from spreading and hurting those we love. It is a great time to work on our prayer life and to check on each other by phone and text.

We appreciate you and your contribution to the spiritual community that is Shandon. We will continue to communicate with you regarding our plans and will post all updates and/or cancellations on the website and on the church’s Facebook page. Additionally, please visit the CDC coronavirus website for steps to prevent illness and other information.

God bless us all as we distance ourselves for our health and draw close to each other in the Spirit.
