Presbyterian Women

Presbyterian Women circles offer women in the church meaningful ways to live out their faith in the midst of an inclusive, caring community. Presbyterian Women commit themselves to nurture faith through prayer and Bible study, support the mission of the church worldwide, work for justice and peace and build a community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (USA) and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom.

At Shandon, our eight Presbyterian Women circles also have these goals:

  • to provide personal and group fellowship
  • to plan creatively for service – invite each woman to serve God through the use of her individual abilities
  • to bring persons into awareness of Christ’s power
  • to create a redeeming fellowship of support
  • to help those outside the church to know Christ and bring them into the fellowship of the church
