Volunteer to serve meals at Transitions
VOLUNTEERING DURING COVID-19: The Outreach Ministry recommends the following criteria for anyone who would like to volunteer to serve dinner at Transitions in a more safe manner during COVID-19. While Shandon encourages these precautions, volunteers need to make their own informed decision about volunteering.
- Volunteers are between the age of 25-55.
- Volunteers are not sick or have been in contact with someone with the virus.
- Volunteers do not have underlying health conditions or live with someone who does.
- Volunteers have their own face masks.
Shandon volunteers serve supper the first Sunday of each month to clients of Transitions Homeless Center. Transitions, a nonprofit organization, seeks to move the homeless into stable housing.
Time commitment: 5-6:30 p.m.
Volunteer monthly, for one Sunday or whatever fits your schedule. Youth volunteers, ages 14-17, are welcome to participate and must be accompanied by an adult. A parental consent form is required.
