Sarah Touchton | Room 214
The Sarah Touchton Class is named for Sarah Touchton, a long-time member and Director of Christian Education during the 1960s. She contracted HIV through a blood transfusion. During a time that stigmatized a person living with HIV/AIDS, her openness about her condition provided opportunities for education and acceptance. This class reads books together, occasionally works on an art project together, and participates in other shared activities. This fall the class will read Richard Rohr’s new book, The Tears of Things. All are welcome, including new members and visitors.
